Top Moderators, new languages available, moderation section for users and Android app update
Hello Z-Library community,
We're back to tell you what's new here. As we mentioned in the previous blog post, we have decided to focus on improving the quality of our book collection and have introduced moderation of uploaded books. We were glad to know there are many users who want to become a moderator and ready to spend their time helping the library. Thank you so much! Furthermore, at the request of some moderators, we have added a “Top Moderators” nomination to the Top Z-Librarians page. Similar to uploaders and editors, the most active moderators will get the bonuses.
Although most books are moderated on the day they were uploaded, sometimes books of poor quality may still appear in the library. To quickly identify such books and remove, our users can now help the moderators and reject books that do not fit certain criteria. How does it work? After downloading a book, you will see the interface where you can specify if something is wrong with a file (for example, it is not a book, but an advertisement, or a file does not open). If a book has good quality, you can also specify this information in the interface and this book will be assigned the appropriate status in the database. Please note, there is an explanation for each point to help you make a decision.
Since users from all parts of the world use Z-Library and upload books in different languages, we have updated the list of languages and added 112 new ones. They are already available in all language filters; we recommend using the search to navigate through the list easily.
Finally, for dessert, the long-awaited update of our Android app. What's changed:
- Restored access to the app for Chinese users.
- The app is now available in 28 languages (English, Español, Italiano, Russian, ελληνικά, اللغة العربية, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, हिन्दी, Deutsch, Français, Português, Ukrainian, Polski, 汉语, 日本語, Tiếng Việt, Azərbaycan Dili, Հայոց լեեզո, ภาษาไทย, Türk Dili, ქართველი, বাংলা, پښتو , తెలుగు, اردو, 한국어, Srpski). You can now set the language of the app in Settings.
- Slightly changed the design of the Profile tab.
- Improved the design of the main page by making the Recommended and Popular sections display similarly to the website. The same changes have happened to the Recommended books section on the books page.
- Popular books are listed according to the interface language.
- In the history is now displayed a timer to reset the download limit and an indicator of available downloads.
- Other minor improvements.

Thank you for reading our blog and sharing your feedback. All the comments are not left unnoticed: we collect your suggestions and discuss them with the team. See you again soon!
As for uploads and edits, I find myself uploading or downloading several similar books of the same type or publisher. This means they're usually the same category and other features. Please add an option to select one of the most recent 3 categories we've selected next to the category list instead of having to populate the entire list every time. Likewise for author, and publisher. It doesn't need to be the entire term, just the first few characters should be sufficient in most cases.
EXAMPLE:
Richard Cavendish - The Black Arts, A Concise History of Witchcraft, Demonology, Astrology, and Other Mystical Practices
First published in 1967, this is a scan of the Perigree edition of 1983. It is not a complete scan of the work, with a number of missing pages (marked in the text as “Hidden pages”). Scholars may prefer the scan of the original Capricorn edition (1967 5th impression, published 1968), which is a complete and superior copy. It is available here on Z-Library.
Then add on the other superior copy:
First published in 1967, this is a scan of the Capricorn edition (1967 5th impression, published 1968). It is a complete copy.
If the inferior copy could be simply deleted, it would reduce superfluous works, and save time all round.
Just a suggestion, for your consideration.
You probably have the best library for everything Christian except for some universities and I will upload some books to the site that others can share. I can't be responsible for the quality of the scan though😉😉😉😉
Where can I alert that the books of an editor have been illegally uploaded on the website?
Thanks
que puede pasar

books. What should I do?
But I downloaded the app today and I could download books from there .
I don't know what phones some of y'all are using but I'm using an Android phone and there's a place below that says "Download Android APK" you click on it, download the app, install it and boom! You are free to search and download .
Only issue is you wouldn't be able to go from one account to the other at a go, you'd have to log out and login to the other account you want to use ( This is for people who have two or more Zlibrary acct).
Hope this helps .
Thanks, it works. I hope they fix this issue for PC

The system not allow me to change its status to public, due to book collection contains "adult" related books.
zlib has various booklists are about "male & female sexuals" even "erotic", they all are public booklists and has more than 10K viewers. Why their booklists are allow to public, but mine not?
My booklist is just small collection(less than 100 books) and viewers are less than 300, all of these books are not "erotic" but theory/education related. IT IS NOT FAIR TO LOCK MY BOOKLIST.
Thanks, this site is amazing.
I have a question regarding the Android app. How is it called in PlayStore?

There is no reason to prohibit minors from knowing sex.
If sex education books are prohibited to minors, then why Z-Library allows porn, erotic, hentai, sexual booklists display to all users? Why Z-Librarians didn't hide them from "public" booklist?
example (all are hardcore porn booklists):
.../booklist/55973/9471c4 <- 88k views 38 books
.../booklist/38309/af0236 <- 40k views 347 books
.../booklist/479116/235b3e <- 2k views 40 books
.../booklist/612566/624b98 <- 2k views 35 books
.../booklist/503124/a26fa5 <- 870 views 64 books
.../booklist/445798/a031c2 <- 408 views 55 books
Everyone can make their "adult" book collections(porn, hentai, erotic, adult, sexual), and I was the only exception to be banned.
Hello, Bonjour
I'm a moderator for several days now. I'm quite afraid of the abyssal number of"romanc" books of really pityful quality I have to moderate. These "things" - probably "written" by softwares or similar systems - are {censored}. To be honnest after having check 20 or 30 of these objects I loose pleasure to moderate, searching for infos to achieve the notices, etc. I don't refuse them, but I confess I finally "Skip the job...
Moderation is not about moderating the "quality" of writing, but , as I understood it, the "technical quality" of the books : readable, complete, etc.
But, if some Uploaders read this : please could they check, when uploading masssssssive "Romance or So" ebooks, if these are not already on line with 300 copies...
Pardon my english, thank you.
PieR
Bonjour, Hello,
Merci !
Does Z-Library have a moderator forum or discord channel? Can you ask your colleagues to look into my issues? One of your colleageus locked my booklist(.../booklist/613166/9e5784), and don't allow me to change it back to "public" booklist.
I'm wondering why I'm the only one been blocked when the whole site has so many adult, erotic, porn booklists are allow open to the public?
Do moderators have the right to modify user booklist settings without informing them? I don't get any email or message notification from Z-Library regarding they lock my booklist.
The behavior of modifying the settings of others without the their consent is no different from hacking, illegal access other information.
I'm not informed about this at all. I'm just a brand new moderator and I don't have any information about this. I'm just freely working here to help moderating books with technical issues, incomplete description etc. Please refr to the Administrator s of thie website.
(Excuse my errors when typing)
Please refer to Administrators of this website.
Hello,
We understand your confusion. The point is that we can't automatically mark all adult content, this process is now done manually by admins and moderators. It is possible that some book in your booklist was mistakenly marked as 18+. Allow us some time to check your booklist.
There is no censorship on our site, but we have received many complaints from parents and even teenagers that they don't want to see adult content.
Yes, users have the option to hide books 18+, but it doesn't work correctly because not all books are marked as adult content. But you're right that it would be more correct to hide booklists with adult content not for all users, but only for those who don't want to see it. This task was assigned to the technical department, and we will implement it on the site as soon as possible.
As for the booklists you have mentioned, we will check them and take an appropriate action.
Apologies for the inconvenience and hope for your understanding!
------------------------------------------------------------
Let me summarize three main points:
1. There is no censorship on our site
2. Complaints came from parents
3. Users have the option to hide books 18+
Apparently Z-Library has no official policy or rules on adult content, they are not banned or prohibited. Z-Library is a network community where everyone can freely share knowledge. However, some savage parents have requested a complete ban on adult books for their own reasons, which has violated the rights of the majority of Z-Library users.
I hope these parents learn to respect the rights of others and not impose their beliefs on the public community, this is not your church. If you don't like adult books, you have plenty of ways to avoid them. Add Z-Libary to the DNS blacklist, turn on antivirus child safe mode, prohibit your children from using the Internet, morally advise them to stay away from adult books, … Z-Library even provides the option(user settings page) to hide 18+ contents, why don't you use it?
Sex is part of education, and if the child is not yet mentally mature, then these books are meaningless. If they are interested, then they have the right to read, to understand sex, to understand their physiology. The desire of knowledge is irresistible. The internet world is endless, there is nothing you can stop, and your children will always be smarter than you.
With such uncivilized parents, refusing to talk about sex and fearing that children knowing sex, I feel sorry for your children.
They might be interested to know that kind of thing.
Don't steal other people's hard work!
Actually Z-Library works like this, it assumes that everything on the internet is FREE, unless someone claims it isn't. So please take good care of your digital work (documents, books, notes) or it will end up in Z-Library :)
I have the same doubt as you, but Z-Library has been active since 2009. Some universities even provide support to them. This situation is like in the past when pirated games were rampant. Games were sold at a high price due to a limited market, and potential consumers had no channels to buy games, so they could only rely on the local pirated market.
As an example, if you search for the word "modernized", you'll always get the books that feature the word "modern" first rather than the books that actually feature the word "modernized."
